License Wizard 2.3 and 3.3 help software developers or copyright owners choose a free/open source license that suit their needs and circumstances.

License Wizard is a step-by-step wizard. After you have answered the questions, the Wizard will provide you with a list of recommended licenses. Both versions 2.3 and 3.3 are based on the same legal content. Version 3.3 lists the licenses in a table to give you a quick glimpse.

Both versions cover only 10 popular free/open source licenses. That definitely does not cover all available licenses and is for reference only. Also, please understand that it is possible for either version not to yield any recommendation. In such case, you will need to seek professional advice, or change the answers to the
Wizard's questions.
