Debian Chinese Localization Project consists of a group of volunteers who love Debian. Localization means three things: localizing the software interface, enabling the processing of Chinese characters, and translating related documents into Chinese for the convenience of reading, development, and discussion in the Chinese community.

Major components include X Windows system, Netscape, Word Processing. The primary strengths and distinctions of CLE are hardware support, software support, Chinese environment support, open development environment, and a dedicated service website.
