Apache ServiceMix is a flexible, open-source integration container that unifies the features and functionality of Apache ActiveMQ, Camel, CXF, and Karaf into a powerful runtime platform you can use to build your own integrations solutions. It provides a complete, enterprise ready ESB exclusively powered by OSGi.

It is being released under Apache License v2.

The main features are:

Through additional installable features, ServiceMix also supports:

  • BPM engine via Activiti

  • full JPA support via Apache OpenJPA

  • XA transaction management via JTA via Apache Aries

  • legacy support for the JBI standard (deprecated after the ServiceMix 3.x series) through the Apache ServiceMix NMR that includes a rich Event, Messaging and Audit API

Applications for ServiceMix can be built using:

  • OSGi Blueprint

  • OSGi Declarative Services

  • Spring DM (legacy)

ServiceMix 7.0.1 released

The ServiceMix team is pleased to announce the availability of Apache ServiceMix 7.0.1.

This new patch release includes few bug fixes and picks up new versions of Apache Camel,
Apache CXF, Apache ActiveMQ and Apache Karaf.

The ServiceMix team is pleased to announce the availability of Apache ServiceMix 6.1.4.
This new patch release includes few bug fixes and picks up new versions of Apache Camel
and Apache CXF.

WARNING: this is probably the last scheduled release of ServiceMix 6.x. We encourage users
to upgrade to more recent ServiceMix versions.

Welcome Andrea Cosentino as the new Apache ServiceMix PMC

The Apache ServiceMix PMC is pleased to announce Andrea Cosentino as a new PMC member.

Andrea has been invited a year ago to be a ServiceMix committer. During this time he was involved in project
discussion and votes. Being an active committer Andrea was also helping upgrade and maintain the ServiceMix
assembly and bundles. He is also involved with Apache Karaf and Apache Camel projects.

In recognition of his continued contribution and commitment to the project, the Apache ServiceMix PMC has
invited Andrea to join the PMC.
